“ Amazing experience in Chapala. It was our first trip and we wanted to get on the water but not on a local boat. So we looked up this place and took a taxi out to it. The first thing you have to understand is this is a small place. They have a large piece of land, but I think the place is new and they are slowly building it out. But the things they have built so far are amazing. The pool has beautiful tile work. The dining area is made from polished drift wood and local materials. It's like a tiki hut but really well constructed and nicely done. The two waiters we met were incredibly friendly. I inquired about membership and boat storage costs. Prices are reasonable. Later the waiter told us someone could take us out on the lake in a speedboat for 2500 pesos. Not a bad deal. So we swam at the pool for a while and had some drinks. They waived the 300 peso per person day pass for the pool since we were paying for a boat. We went out on the boat. Was a bit of a disaster as the boat had mechanical problems, but for boats, this is normal. Another boat came and towed us in. Was still a great experience and nice to be out on the water. They didn't charge us for the boat trip. We got back and sat on the floating bar. You have to understand the history behind this Circus Bar as they call it. It was built by hand by two former circus performers. The shape resembles a circus tent. The guy who drove our boat, is one of the former performers. He was also singing Karaoke, and was our waiter. These guys are working hard to pursue their dreams. Later, when we were ready to go home, we could not get a taxi to come get us. The manager gave his car keys to a friend and had him drive us back to our hotel. Amazing hospitality. In both the restaurant and the floating bar we were treated like family. We will definitely be back. Love this place. ”

“ We went on a Friday night and were pleasantly surprised it was two for one margarita night, the margaritas were delicious, then we had a roasted tomato and cheese appetizer, followed by barbecue chicken and a tuna steak. Food was delicious and service was great, plus the view is spectacular. Recommend going. ”

“ A beautiful NEW venue for special events in a great location on the lake shore. Nice restrooms and a play area for the kids. A pool and room for a band and dancing. A parking area is available. You can rent a kayak or jet ski there also. There's a bar with good drinks and a small menu, mostly botanas. (The ones we ordered were excellent.) Only drawback is the condition of the roads you drive on to get there. (Lots of ruts & topes and not well-lighted at night.) ”

Indeed, getting here involves traversing the rabbit warren of small side roads along the lake shore. However, the venue's tiki-lounge atmosphere alone is well worth spending a little time looking for it. Service is super friendly and attentive, prices are fair, and the quality of food and drinks on offer is well above average. All in all, this is likely to become a regular hangout for me. ”
